We’re a family run business made up of mum, daughter and most importantly Buster, the loyal sidekick and hearing dog. Together, we’re the team behind Hills & Heather, a hand-dyed yarn business creatively inspired by wild landscapes, animal life and all things nature.

Our colourways connect with the seasons, the outdoors and our favourite landscapes turning them into something soft and tangible. You’ll find extracts of our walks in the colourways, the purple haze of blooming heather, the silver mist of early morning fields or perhaps the soft gold of late summer. We also have a local peacock who often wanders through our garden showing off his shimmering blues and greens. 

Each skein is dyed in small batches using sustainable dyes on superwash yarns. We focus on sock yarns and mini skeins perfect for heels, toes, and those thoughtful little details that make handmade knits sing.
